Engineering and Public Policy October 2016 – May 2018
Evaluated practices of the University and individuals to identify and make recommendations on 2009 Chinese Patent Law on Chinese firm patenting and innovation; analyses of historical bridges registration and documentation to understand monument preservation and infrastructure improvement in the US.

Materials Science and Engineering February 2016 – May 2019
Materials characterization of 3D printed heat exchangers, including mechanical testing and imaging; modeling crack propagation stress and strain fields using MATLAB to compare with analytical results. Co-presented at MS&T 2017.

Projects

Characterization of Stress Relief for Laser Powder Bed Fusion Aluminum Alloy AlSi10Mg Spring 2019
This project focused on analyzing the effects of stress relief on the properties of additively manufactured AlSi10Mg.

Sustainability at Carnegie Mellon University Fall 2018
Evaluated practices of the University and individuals to identify and make recommendations on meeting sustainability goals in transportation, waste management, energy consumption, and education.

Investigation of Lead in Allegheny County Spring 2018
Investigated and made recommendations to the county regarding education efforts of lead to the public in Allegheny County, developed lead risk analysis tool for the ACHD website.
